Same-day courier service in Stratford
Tasito provides dedicated same-day courier services across Stratford, from the development sites around the park and the International Quarter to the small units at Fish Island and Hackney Wick. From construction materials and plant parts to trade stock, equipment and time-critical deliveries, we collect directly from your premises and deliver in a vehicle matched to the load. Stratford sits outside the Congestion Charge, so a delivery here carries none of the central London charging.
More of our Stratford work goes to a gate than to a loading bay, and that changes what matters. Our fleet is FORS accredited and renewed for 2026, which is what gets a van through a Tier 1 site gate rather than turned away with the load still on it.
The site gate, and why accreditation decides it
Major construction and infrastructure sites across Greater London require FORS accreditation from the vehicles delivering to them. A non-accredited van arriving at a Tier 1 contractor's gate is turned away with the load still on board.
Our fleet is FORS accredited and the accreditation was renewed for 2026. It is an audited standard covering safety, driver training, fuel efficiency and emissions management across the whole fleet, checked rather than claimed.
Stratford is where that gets tested most often. For a site delivery we need the gate, the slot time, the site contact, and whether a banksman or a driver induction is required. Inductions are arranged beforehand, not at the barrier.
Worth being precise on one point, because the two get conflated. FORS is an operator standard. ULEZ is a separate per-vehicle emissions charge and accreditation does not exempt anyone from it.

The unit work at Fish Island and Hackney Wick
Away from the sites, the commercial space here is small-unit rather than warehouse scale. Fish Island and Hackney Wick carry studios, workshops, light manufacturing and food and drink producers in converted and purpose-built units, and Here East on the Olympic Park side holds tech, studio and media businesses.
Small units mean small consignments, no forklift and often no yard, so for those addresses we come in with a short wheelbase at 450kg or a medium at 800kg unless the load needs more. Sending a Luton to a workshop unit is the wrong answer even when the pallet count says otherwise.
The shopping centre runs service yard access with booked delivery windows, so retail replenishment there works to the centre's timetable rather than ours. Give us the window and we build the run around it.

Road closures
The Olympic Park and the stadium close roads when something is on, and on those days a delivery that normally takes twenty minutes off the A12 can be undeliverable. If we know something is on we flag it when you book and suggest a morning run or the next day instead. Paying us to sit outside a cordon is not a service.
The A12 southbound at the Blackwall approach and the Bow interchange are the everyday pinch points, both peaks.

Charges
Stratford is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, £12.50 a day for a non-compliant van. We send ULEZ-compliant vans into London, and if the right van for a job ever is not, we tell you about the £12.50 before we set off.
The Congestion Charge does not apply and there is no river crossing on this route, so no tunnel toll. In charges alone that makes Stratford one of the cheapest London addresses we serve, against £18 a day for a City drop before anything else.

What we send
Site work is palletised and heavy: three standard or four Euro pallets in a long wheelbase at 3.3m, four standard or five Euro in an extra-long at 4.2m, six in a Luton at 1,000kg. The box Luton has a tail lift, which on a site with no forklift is what gets the pallet off the vehicle at all. The flat bed at 2.7m and 800kg handles materials and lengths that will not go through a door.
The fleet page has every class and UK pallet sizes explained covers the footprints.

Where Stratford work goes
Canary Wharf and the City are short runs south. Enfield is the one sensible north London pairing. Back to Essex is the A12.

Other services we run in Stratford
Two-man delivery for anything going into a building rather than to a gate. Multi-drop across the unit estates and the sites. Next-day courier for scheduled site deliveries, which often fits better because site slots are booked in advance anyway.
Our same-day courier service has the detail.

Stratford questions
Yes. The fleet is FORS accredited and renewed for 2026, which is what most major London sites require at the gate. Booking a non-accredited courier for that kind of delivery risks the load being refused on arrival.
On a FORS-accredited vehicle it should not arise. Worth understanding the cost though: the load comes back, you pay for the run, and you lose the booked slot, which on a busy site can mean days rather than hours.
The gate, the slot time, the site contact, and whether a banksman or a driver induction is required. Inductions have to be arranged beforehand. Turning up to find the driver cannot enter wastes your slot as well as our time.
Something small, unless you tell us otherwise. The unit estates around Fish Island and Hackney Wick are workshops and studios without forklifts or yards, so a short or medium wheelbase gets in and out far faster than a Luton that cannot turn.
No, and the two get confused. FORS is an operator accreditation for safety, driver training and emissions management. ULEZ is a per-vehicle emissions charge at £12.50 a day for a non-compliant van, and accreditation does not exempt anyone from it.
In charges, no. It is one of the cheapest London addresses we serve. ULEZ applies but the Congestion Charge does not, and with no river crossing there is no tunnel toll. Compare that with a City drop at £18 a day before anything else.
Yes. The box Luton has a tail lift, which raises and lowers a pallet between the load floor and the ground without anything at your end. Where there is a forklift the curtain-side Luton is quicker because it loads from the side.
4pm, Monday to Friday. For a site delivery the gate's hours bind earlier than ours, because construction gates close before offices do. Give us the site cut-off rather than the end of your day.
Send us the postcodes and what is moving. You get a price in seconds and a driver within the hour.
