Multi-drop courier service
Many stops, one planned route, every drop sequenced before the vehicle leaves.
When one vehicle needs to make several deliveries, the route has to be planned properly before it leaves. Tasito provides multi-drop courier services for businesses delivering to multiple customers, sites or branches, with each stop sequenced around location, delivery windows, access requirements and the order goods need to come off the vehicle.
How we plan it
We take your drop list and build the route around the time windows, not the postcodes. The load goes on in reverse order so the first delivery is nearest the doors, and the driver gets the sequence before leaving. Where a site has a goods-in window or a booking reference, that sits in the plan rather than in somebody's head.
What it suits
Distribution runs to retail or trade customers, stock moving out to several sites, parts going to multiple engineers, and anything where the same set of addresses comes up week after week.
Recurring routes
If a route repeats, we price it at a fixed rate per run rather than quoting each time. You get the same driver on the route where we can, which means they learn your sites, your contacts and where the loading door really is.
What a route costs
A multi-drop run is priced as a route rather than as a stack of separate deliveries, which is what makes it cheaper than booking each drop on its own. The figure depends on the vehicle, the spread of the addresses and how long the stops take, so twelve drops around one town costs less than six spread across three counties.
Send the drop list and we will tell you what it works out at per delivery. If the route repeats, it gets a fixed rate per run and stops being quoted every week.
When a route needs a second vehicle
Two things break a route. Space, where the whole load will not physically fit on one vehicle, and time, where the delivery windows cannot all be met in one day no matter how the stops are ordered. Weight is usually the quieter one: a van can fill its payload long before it fills its floor.
We would rather tell you a route needs splitting before the day than have a driver run out of hours with four drops still on board. If the list is borderline, we will say so and give you both prices.
Who uses it
Wholesalers and distributors running stock out to trade customers, manufacturers supplying several sites from one plant, retailers moving goods between branches, and firms sending parts to engineers across a patch. If the same addresses come round every week, that is the work this service is built for.
What we need from you
