Two-man delivery in Canary Wharf

Tasito runs two-man delivery across Canary Wharf and the business addresses around it on the Isle of Dogs, taking in the tower estates along with the smaller offices at South Quay and Heron Quays. A crew of two travels with the vehicle, so IT and AV equipment, office furniture, display stock and fit-out materials reach a named floor and a named person rather than stopping at a service bay.

More of our Canary Wharf work ends on an upper floor than at a loading dock, and that is what a crew is for. The estate runs basement goods-in with height restrictions, booked slots and security screening, and those decide the vehicle and the hour far more than the pallet count does. Bookings run until 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Where the work is

The towers account for most of it, with the smaller offices around South Quay and Heron Quays filling out the rest. Legal and financial documents, corporate hospitality supplies, IT and AV equipment and general office consignments are the usual load, and the heavier end of that list is where a crew gets booked.

Fit-out and construction work on the estate is the other source. Our fleet is FORS accredited and renewed for 2026, which satisfies the access requirements at the larger estates and on any fit-out job here.

Booked slots and screening

Most of the buildings want the delivery booked in advance against a named recipient, and some want the driver's details ahead of time as well. Screening at the gate adds time before anybody starts carrying.

What we need from you is the building, the floor or the company, a contact name, a mobile, and the goods-in booking reference where one exists. On a crewed job that list is worth more than on a single-driver run, because two people held at a barrier are two people not carrying. Give us the goods-in slot and we work to that instead of to our own cut-off, since a vehicle arriving after a service bay has closed has delivered nothing.

What the crew does, and what it does not

Off the vehicle, through screening, up in the goods lift and positioned on the floor it is going to. Packaging is taken away again where the booking covered it.

Installation and commissioning sit outside the job. A rack or an AV load arrives in its cases and stays in them until your engineer is on site, so send us their time if the two have to meet inside the same slot. Taking out the old kit or furniture is separate work with disposal attached to it.

The detail that decides a Canary Wharf carry is the goods lift: its internal depth, the floor it serves, and the doorway at the far end of the corridor. Give us those along with the longest item in the load and we will tell you what fits before the vehicle is loaded.

The charges, and the tunnels

The Congestion Charge does not reach Canary Wharf. It rose to £18 a day on 2 January 2026 and covers the central zone, which stops short of the estate, so identical work costs nothing here that it would attract in the City.

ULEZ is live here as in every London borough, £12.50 a day on a vehicle that does not comply. Compliant vehicles are what we send into London, and on the rare job where the right vehicle is not one, you hear before we leave. Watch the tunnels instead. Blackwall and Silvertown each charge per crossing, in both directions, between 06:00 and 22:00 on every day but Christmas Day, and the Blackwall approach lies a few hundred metres off the estate. Keep the job north of the river and neither comes into it.

What we send and what fits

Basement service bays carry height restrictions and that is where goods-in runs. Internal load height on our Luton is 2.1m and the body stands well above that, which rules it out of most tower addresses. A long wheelbase at 3.3m carrying three standard pallets, or an extra-long at 4.2m carrying four, is the usual answer, run twice where the volume needs it. Two trips in a vehicle that gets down the ramp beats one that gets turned round at the top of it.

For documents and small consignments a short wheelbase at 450kg with 2.1m of load space is the right vehicle and stands the best chance of a legal stop on the estate roads. A medium at 800kg takes two standard pallets or three Euro.

Tell us the building when you book and we will check the restriction rather than find it at the ramp. Class by class, the fleet page carries the load dimensions, and UK pallet sizes explained puts the standard footprint beside the Euro one.

Where Canary Wharf work goes

City of London and Greenwich are both short runs, though the charging position differs at each. Stratford is north on the A12. Back to Essex is the A13.

A crewed job that carries on south of the river picks up the tunnel in each direction, so we set the hour against the receiving building's slot and give you the figure first.

Other services we run in Canary Wharf

Same-day courier where the consignment needs one driver and a signature. Next-day courier where tomorrow morning's slot takes the pressure off. Multi-drop across several towers on one run, sequenced around the goods-in bookings rather than the geography. Planning, routing and sorting where the same movement repeats.

The full two-man delivery service covers how the crew is booked with the vehicle, which is the piece to read before a tower delivery is set against a basement bay with a height limit.

Canary Wharf questions

Usually not. Internal height is 2.1m and the body stands taller again, while most tower basement bays sit restricted below that figure. We send a long wheelbase with three pallets, or an extra-long with four, running twice if the volume needs it. Name the building and we will confirm it.

Call and we will tell you what is free. Booking the previous day secures it, and with a goods-in slot at the far end that is the arrangement we would recommend.

Yes. Give us the floor, the goods lift's internal depth and the longest item in the load, and we will tell you what goes up before the vehicle leaves.

No. Carried in and positioned where you want it on the floor it is going to. Installation and commissioning are a separate trade, so send us your engineer's time if they have to work inside the same slot.

Where the building runs one, yes. Without it the crew waits at the barrier instead of carrying. Building, floor or company, contact name, mobile and the reference covers it.

No. Canary Wharf falls outside the central zone the charge covers, which has stood at £18 a day since 2 January 2026. ULEZ remains live across every London borough.

The building's. We take bookings until 4pm, Monday to Friday, but a crew arriving after the service bay has shut has carried nothing. Give us the slot and we work backwards from it.

Yes, renewed for 2026 and covering every vehicle rather than one. It is what satisfies access requirements at the larger estates and on fit-out and construction work here.
