Multi-drop courier service in Benfleet

Tasito runs multi-drop rounds through Benfleet, five miles from us off the A13, with Manor Trading Estate carrying most of the addresses and the trade units, shops and offices along the London Road and around the station making up the rest, along with South Benfleet running down towards the creek.

Benfleet is rarely the whole round. It sits between our base and the Canvey Island and Southend-on-Sea work, so a list of Benfleet stops is normally a set of calls inside a journey that is being made in any case, and the sequence is better for it. Bookings run until 4pm.

Manor Trading Estate, and the rest

Manor is where most of a Benfleet list ends up. It is a large estate, heavily occupied, and the occupancy is mixed rather than one sector, so two addresses on the same estate road can be nothing like each other as stops.

The access is simple. Estate roads with yards, forklift loading as the norm, and a Luton gets in without difficulty. What varies is the goods and the handling, which is why a Benfleet list is easier to sequence once we know what is moving at each unit and how it comes off the vehicle, rather than just the unit numbers.

Away from Manor, the London Road and station addresses are smaller and quicker, and they fit the gaps in a round rather than setting its shape.

A stop on the line rather than the end of one

Benfleet sits on a corridor we drive regularly, and on a multi-drop that works in your favour.

A round that takes in Basildon, Benfleet, Canvey Island and Southend-on-Sea is one vehicle covering the mileage once, in the order the road puts them. Four separate bookings covers the same ground four times. If your Benfleet stops have an hour or two of movement in them, say so with the list, because that flexibility is what lets us drop them into a round that is already going past.

Where a Benfleet stop has to happen at a set time, that is fine too. It becomes the fixed point and the rest of the round is built around it.

Where the sequence gets careful

The A13 at Sadlers Farm is the pinch point in both peaks, and it is the junction that decides when a round through here should start rather than anything in Benfleet itself.

South Benfleet and the roads towards the creek are residential and narrower than the mapping suggests. For a stop down there we want the full address and a contact number so the driver arrives on the right side of a tight street, which keeps the stop to the few minutes it should take instead of costing the one behind it.

The crossing to Canvey Island is the other thing to know about. A Canvey stop on a Benfleet list is a different proposition with its own access constraints, so tell us which of your addresses are on the island and which are on the mainland and we order them accordingly.

What we send and what fits

What fits on a Benfleet round comes off the full list rather than its heaviest item, and the Manor stops usually set it. The 3.3m long wheelbase holds three standard pallets or four Euro, the 4.2m extra-long four standard or five Euro, and the Luton six of either at 1,000kg in a 4.2m by 2.0m by 2.1m space.

The curtain-side Luton loads from the flank where there is a forklift, which is most of Manor. The box Luton carries a tail lift for the addresses with nothing to lift with, and one of those on the list is enough to decide the vehicle for all of them. Where a round is only London Road and station work, a short wheelbase at 450kg or a medium at 800kg with two standard or three Euro pallets is the right size and leaves the larger vehicle free for somebody else.

The fleet page lists every class and UK pallet sizes explained covers standard against Euro. Our fleet is FORS accredited and renewed for 2026.

Where Benfleet work goes

Canvey Island across the creek. Southend-on-Sea and Rayleigh east. Basildon and Grays west on the A13, with London beyond them. A round finishing west can take a London drop on the same vehicle rather than starting again with a second booking.

Other services we run in Benfleet

Same-day courier for a single urgent consignment. Next-day courier where tomorrow morning is fine. Two-man delivery for anything needing carrying at the far end. Planning, routing and sorting with a fixed rate where the same Benfleet, Canvey and Southend run happens weekly.

The multi-drop courier service page explains how a round is quoted, including one that joins a corridor rather than making its own.

Benfleet questions

A wide mix of businesses rather than one trade, on a heavily occupied estate. Estate roads with yards, forklift loading as standard and room for a Luton. Because the occupancy varies so much, tell us what is moving at each unit and how it loads and the sequence comes out right.

No. Send the list and we sequence it. Tell us which stops have fixed times, because those anchor the round and the flexible ones fill in around them.

Yes, and that is the natural shape of the work here. One vehicle, the stops sequenced along the A13, the mileage paid once instead of three times for the same ground.

It does, and Benfleet is the clearest case on our network. We pass here on the way to Canvey Island and Southend-on-Sea, so a stop that can move by an hour or two goes onto a round that is happening anyway.

The full address and a contact number. The roads towards the creek are residential and narrow, and a postcode on its own can put a driver on the wrong side of a street with nowhere to turn, which pushes the rest of the sequence back.

It does. Canvey is over the creek crossing with its own access constraints, so we treat it as a distinct leg of the round and place it accordingly rather than mixing it in with the mainland stops.

4pm, Monday to Friday. On a five-mile leg that is comfortable. Where the round finishes with a London drop, earlier is better, because the A13 inbound in the evening peak is the slow part rather than the collection.

No. Benfleet is Essex, outside both the ULEZ and the Congestion Charge. Charges only apply where a stop on the round is in London, and we tell you which before we set off.
