Fragile time-critical courier in Harlow
Tasito carries fragile and time-critical consignments across Harlow, off The Pinnacles and Templefields where most of the light industrial and manufacturing work sits, and out of Harlow Science Park, the New Frontiers site and the other technology and engineering addresses the Harlow Enterprise Zone covers. Instruments and control equipment, electronic assemblies, prototypes and single parts, finished panels, and items with no second copy behind them if the deadline passes.
What this service changes in Harlow is that the gate and the handling are agreed in one conversation before the van moves. A good share of what leaves this town comes off sites with controlled access and booked goods-in windows rather than open yards, so the slot is part of the handling plan. Harlow is about twenty-eight miles from us and bookings run until 4pm, Monday to Friday.
Two kinds of collection
The Pinnacles and Templefields are the two main industrial areas and they cover most of the manufacturing and light industrial work. Those are ordinary estate collections with yard access, so the van stands alongside your door with the engine off while the item is brought out and settled, which is the easiest version of this job.
Harlow Science Park and the New Frontiers site work to different rules. Controlled access, booked goods-in windows, and in some cases a site pass rather than a drive-up. Tell us which site it is and who the contact is when you book, and the driver arrives at the right gate with the right paperwork rather than spending your slot at a barrier. On a time-critical consignment the slot is the asset, and arriving inside it is the single most useful thing we can do with the notice you give us.
The Harlow Enterprise Zone covers the science and technology sites, and the pattern across them is the same: the access is arranged in advance and then the handling is the only thing left to think about.

The roads, and the deadline
M25 junction 27 is the problem on this run. It goes in both peaks and there is no good way out of it once the van is committed, which is why we sometimes come the long way round instead, up the A130 and the A12 to the M11, which is further in miles and often shorter in time. We make that call on the day based on what the roads are doing, and on a fragile booking the point of making it early is that the driver is not making up time later with your item aboard.
The M11 southbound at junction 7 is the other one. Where your deadline is a flight or a freight cut-off rather than close of business, give us the actual time and the reference and we work backwards from it with margin. Stansted is fifteen minutes further up the M11, so a Harlow collection with an air freight cut-off behind it is a run that holds together well from here.

How the consignment is handled
A dedicated vehicle, your consignment and nothing else on it, and the same hands that collect it come away with the signature. No depot, no co-loading, no night leg, nobody else with a hand on the item between the two addresses.
Wrapped, then tied down. Control gear and instruments are restrained until no movement remains in them, movement rather than mass being what the restraint is there to remove. Panels and glazing stand upright and braced with the edges covered, and a face due for inspection has nothing put on it. A tolerance against a consignment belongs in the booking, since it governs the restraint rather than the driving.
Packing is not work we offer and we make no cases. The driver will say inside the gate, with your goods-in window still open, if what has been presented is not up to twenty-eight miles. Where a case has to be built first, you hear that at booking, so a booked window is not spent loading a piece that should not go.
The signature at the agreed point ends our part. Installation, unpacking and commissioning sit with another trade, and where the receiving site is controlled-access as well, their window is worth booking on its own terms rather than ours.

What we send and what fits
Smaller usually serves better here. A short wheelbase gives 2.1m of load space at 450kg, which covers instruments, boxed assemblies and single items, and a medium at 800kg carries two standard pallets or three Euro.
Above that sit 3.3m in a long wheelbase for three standard or four Euro, 4.2m in an extra-long for four standard or five Euro, and a Luton for six of either at 1,000kg, 4.2m by 2.0m by 2.1m inside, which the units on The Pinnacles and Templefields take without trouble. A piece too long for a van door goes on the flat bed, 2.7m at 800kg. A consignment that also has to hold a temperature goes in the insulated vehicle, its own refrigeration unit across six pallet spaces and 1,000kg of payload, chilled between 0 and 8°C or frozen at minus 18°C and below. It is allocated to a job rather than kept standing, so give us the range it cannot leave, and rather more notice than a standard van needs.
Every class is listed with its dimensions on the fleet page, and UK pallet sizes explained covers standard against Euro. The fleet holds FORS accreditation, renewed for 2026.

Where Harlow work goes
Into London down the M11, which is the most common. North to Stansted for air freight, fifteen minutes further up the motorway. Back towards us through Epping and Loughton, or across to Brentwood by way of junction 28.
Harlow is in Essex, so no charge applies at this end. Where the delivery address is in London we set out which charges the leg picks up before we go.

Other services we run in Harlow
Same-day courier where the goods are sturdy and only the deadline presses. Two-man delivery for equipment that needs two people to move safely, booked with the vehicle rather than arranged on arrival. Multi-drop where several addresses sit on one sequenced run. Next-day courier where the item is delicate and tomorrow morning is good enough. Planning, routing and sorting where the same movement between sites repeats.
The fragile time-critical courier service page has the booking detail, controlled-access collections among it.

Harlow questions
Same-day already means one van and no depot. On a fragile job the gate, the slot, the restraint and the signature are agreed in one conversation before the van moves, so nothing is improvised at the barrier.
No. Neither is work we offer. We carry what is presented, and the judgement is made inside the gate while your window is open.
Yes, with the access arranged first. These are controlled-access sites with booked goods-in windows rather than places a van drives into, so give us the site and the contact at booking and the driver arrives with what the gate needs.
The two addresses, what the consignment is, which face or tolerance matters, who signs at the far end, and the deadline as a real time. Where the collection is on a controlled-access site, the site name and a contact as well.
Junction 27 of the M25 is the bottleneck between us and Harlow, and when it goes there is no quick way out. The A130 and A12 to the M11 is further in miles and often faster, and we make that call on the day.
Yes, a short hop up the M11. Where the consignment is going as air freight, give us the flight cut-off and the reference rather than a delivery time and we plan backwards from it.
Yes, chilled or frozen, on the one insulated vehicle we run. Tell us the range the consignment cannot leave and we confirm that before quoting. It gets allocated rather than kept spare, so earlier notice makes a real difference on a twenty-eight mile run.
4pm, Monday to Friday. Where your deadline is a flight or a freight cut-off, tell us the real time, because that changes the answer, and the refrigerated vehicle takes longer to allocate than a standard van.
Send us the postcodes and what is moving. You get a price in seconds and a driver within the hour.
