Two-man delivery in Lakeside
Tasito provides dedicated two-man delivery services across Lakeside and the surrounding business areas, including the stores inside the shopping centre, the retail parks around it and the units on the edge of the site. From fixtures, display and point-of-sale to fit-out materials, back-of-house furniture and shop equipment, a crew of two travels with the vehicle and carries each item through to the shop floor, with the window and the route inside agreed before anything is loaded. With Lakeside around eleven miles from our Essex base along the A13, we are well placed for quick crewed deliveries and onward runs into London, Kent and throughout the UK.
Almost everything here is retail, delivered inside a window the centre sets. Bookings run until 4pm, and the yard's hours usually close before ours do.
The parts of Lakeside we collect from
The shopping centre takes deliveries through service yards on booked slots, usually early and before the centre fills. With a crew, the item then goes from the yard along the service corridor and through the back of the unit onto the shop floor, so the carry has to fit inside the window too.
The service roads run one way in places and the yards have their own entrances, separate from the public car parks, so give us the yard name from your delivery paperwork. The retail parks and the units on the edge of the site have easier access.

How the roads behave
The A13 junction into the centre is the pinch point, and a queue for the Dartford Crossing on the M25 can reach it even when your job is nowhere near Kent. On a tight window we build that into the timing. From late autumn through the Christmas trading period the yards are busier and slots are tighter, so give us those dates early.
Lakeside is in Thurrock, outside ULEZ and the Congestion Charge. If the delivery carries on into Kent, the Dart Charge applies at the crossing, and we include it in the price with the route.

How the consignment is handled
The crew carries each item off the vehicle, through the yard and along the service route, and positions it where you want it on the floor. Packaging goes back with us where that was agreed at booking.
Assembly, installation and taking old fixtures out are separate work, so send us your fitter's time and we land the delivery to meet them. Tell us the floor the unit is on, the goods lift and its internal depth, the tightest doorway between the yard and the shop floor, and the longest item.

What we send and what fits
Retail stock and display usually fill a vehicle before they reach its weight limit, so space is the thing to plan for. A Luton gives the most room, and the box Luton's tail lift covers a yard with no dock.
An extra-long wheelbase is often easier to turn in a busy yard, and for a single store inside a tight slot a smaller van is quicker through the gate. Fixture lengths go on the flat bed. The fleet page has dimensions for every class.

Lakeside questions
Yes, that is what the crew is for. They carry it from the vehicle through the service route and position it on the floor. Give us the unit, the floor and the tightest doorway on the way in.
The yard entrance, the delivery window and a contact who will be there. The service roads run one way in places and the yards have separate entrances from the public car parks, so the yard name does more for us than a postcode.
It is our booking cut-off, Monday to Friday, and on this site it is rarely the binding one. The centre's yard hours decide the real deadline, so work from those and tell us the window.
Considerably. Yards are busier, slots are tighter and the roads around the centre are worse. Put the dates to us early and we will hold a crew against them rather than looking for one in the week.
No. Carried in and positioned where you want it, with packaging taken away if you ask at booking. Installation is a separate trade, so send us your fitter's time and we will land the delivery against it.
It can, and it is the main risk on this run. The crossing approach backs up and spills onto the A13 at our junction, so for a tight slot we build that into the timing instead of assuming a clear road.
Yes, as a separate job with disposal attached. Tell us in advance, because on a refit the removal and the delivery want sequencing rather than squeezing into one slot.
The delivery address decides it, and here that means the service route rather than the item. Tell us the unit, the floor and how the goods get from the yard to the shop floor, and we will confirm which you need at booking.
Send us the postcodes and what is moving. You get a price in seconds and a driver within the hour.
