Fashion and retail courier services in Southend-on-Sea

Tasito carries fashion and retail work out of Southend-on-Sea: printed point-of-sale and signage from the printers and sign makers, wholesale stock off Comet Way and Rosshill, and mixed collections off Progress Road, the largest estate in the town. Southend is about twelve miles east of us along the A127.

The town has around fifteen separate employment areas, so knowing the estate tells us far more about a job than knowing the town. Bookings run until 4pm, Monday to Friday, and we plan the timing around Rayleigh Weir.

Planning, routing and sorting

The work that happens before the van moves. Routes built around your delivery windows, loads sorted and sequenced so each consignment comes off where it should, and one team accountable for the job from the first call to the last signature.

Same-day courier service

A dedicated vehicle for your consignment, collected within the hour across London, Essex, Kent and the Home Counties, and driven straight to the delivery address with nothing else on board. No depot, no overnight sort, no waiting for a van to fill up. The driver who collects your goods is the driver who delivers them.

Next-day courier service

For consignments that have to arrive tomorrow without paying same-day rates. Your goods are collected today and delivered the next working day, on a dedicated vehicle rather than through a parcel network, so nothing is handled twice and nothing sits in a depot overnight.

Two-man delivery

An extra pair of hands for the jobs one driver cannot do safely. Two crew on the vehicle, so heavy and bulky goods can be carried, manoeuvred through doorways and lifts, and put exactly where they need to go rather than left inside the front door.

Multi-drop courier service

A whole list of stops in one planned sequence, with booked goods-in windows as fixed points and every drop tracked to its address.

Fragile and time-critical consignments driven straight to the delivery address, with no depot in between and the handling agreed before the van moves.

Where we collect in Southend-on-Sea

The biggest estate, and the most mixed, is Progress Road, reached off the A127 on the north-west edge of the town: packaging, joinery, trade counters and more, with estate roads, yards and forklift loading. A Luton is comfortable there.

Sign makers, wholesale, furniture and kitchens are on Rosshill Industrial Park, Sutton Road. Up by the airport on the northern edge, Comet Way has wholesale, electronics and printing firms. There is more printing at Short Street, beside the railway north of the centre, and at Towerfield Road in Shoeburyness. Laurence Industrial Estate, on Eastwoodbury Lane, is small units, among them upholstery and interiors firms, and a smaller van suits it better.

Signage and point-of-sale for a store rollout

Printed point-of-sale and signage often has a launch date behind it and a list of stores in front of it. Send us the store list, each delivery window and the date the material has to be in place, and we sequence the drops so every store receives it inside its own slot.

Shopping centre stores take deliveries through a service yard at a booked time, usually early. High street shops have restricted loading, so the driver needs a contact at the door. Give us that detail for each address and the round keeps to time.

What we send, and what fits

A short wheelbase takes one pallet at 450kg. A medium takes two standard or three Euro at 800kg. A long wheelbase takes three standard or four Euro at 3.3m, an extra-long four standard or five Euro, and a Luton six at 1,000kg. On Progress Road and Vanguard Way, where forklifts load from the flank, we send the curtain-side Luton, and the box Luton's tail lift handles a store with no dock.

Long signs and fixture pieces that will not pass a rear door travel on the flat bed, 2.7m long with an 800kg limit. If any of the stock hangs, give us the rails or the metres of hanging, because it uses height and floor before weight. The fleet page details each vehicle, UK pallet sizes explained sets out the footprints, and the fleet holds FORS accreditation, renewed for 2026.

Rayleigh Weir, Shoeburyness and the airport

Southend has one real road, the A127, and Rayleigh Weir sets the timing on it, heading west in the morning peak and east in the evening one. A London store drop from here meets the Weir first and the A13 after it, so a late afternoon booking is the slowest way to do it.

Shoeburyness is about eight miles beyond the town, which makes a collection at Vanguard Way or Towerfield Road a longer trip than one at Progress Road. For samples flying from London Southend Airport, send the handling agent's desk cut-off, the agent's name and the reference, and we plan back from the cut-off.

Where Southend-on-Sea retail work goes

Heading west, Rayleigh and Benfleet come first on the A127, then Basildon, with Canvey Island off the A13 and London at the end of the line. Store rounds along the A127 corridor suit a multi-drop run from Southend-on-Sea, and a recurring weekly round can go on a fixed rate.

Where fixtures, signage or display units have to be carried into the store and placed, book two-man delivery from Southend-on-Sea. The crew carries and positions the goods. Assembly and installation are left to your fitter.

Southend-on-Sea questions

Yes. Send the store list, each store's delivery window and the date the material has to be in place, and we sequence the round so every store receives it inside its slot.

Progress Road. It is the biggest in the town and has estate roads, yards and forklift loading. At the other extreme, Laurence Industrial Estate on Eastwoodbury Lane is small units, where a smaller van works better.

Yes. The flat bed takes pieces too long for a van's rear door, with 2.7m of load length and an 800kg limit.

It sits between us and Southend and queues in both peaks. A Southend job heading to London hits the Weir and then the A13, so booking early makes a noticeable difference.

No. It is about eight miles further, beyond the town, so collections from Vanguard Way or Towerfield Road take longer than Progress Road. Give us the estate as well as the town.

Yes. Give us the cut-off at the handling agent's desk, the agent and the reference, and we work the collection back from that cut-off.

Yes, as two-man delivery. A crew of two carries the fixtures in and places them. Assembly and installation are not included, so send us the fitter's time.

No. Southend-on-Sea is in Essex, outside ULEZ and the Congestion Charge. They only apply when a store on the round is in London, and you hear which ones before the van leaves.
