Fragile time-critical courier in Enfield

Tasito provides dedicated fragile and time-critical courier services across Enfield and the surrounding business areas, including Brimsdown, the Great Cambridge estate off the A10, Innova Park and the other Lee Valley industrial sites. From instruments and control equipment to electronic assemblies, machine parts and finished panels, we collect directly from your premises and take the consignment straight to its destination in a vehicle matched to the item, with the handling agreed before anything is loaded. With Enfield around thirty-three miles from our Essex base, we plan the hour with you so the window holds.

Most of what we move out of Enfield is industrial work leaving a yard for a site, an office or another unit. Bookings run until 4pm, and on a leg this long an earlier booking gives more room.

The parts of Enfield we collect from

Brimsdown is the largest site, in the Lee Valley on the east of the borough. The Great Cambridge estate lines the A10, and Innova Park is the newer business park. These sites load from estate roads and yards, often with a forklift at the dock, so the van parks beside your door.

Because the collection end is usually simple, the delivery address is the part to tell us about. A piece that leaves on a forklift and arrives at a doorway with nothing to lift it needs a different vehicle, or two people.

How the roads and charges work

Junction 25 of the M25 is the main constraint and it slows in both peaks. The A10 south into the borough is next, and on the alternative approach by the A12 and the North Circular it is Bounds Green that holds things up. If junction 25 closes mid-job, you get a call with a revised time.

Enfield is inside ULEZ, which covers every London borough, and any charge that applies to the vehicle is in the price before we go. The Congestion Charge does not reach this far north, and there is no river to cross from Essex.

How the consignment is handled

Your consignment travels on its own, with no co-loading and no depot stop. Control gear and instruments are restrained until nothing can move, panels and glazing stand upright and braced, and a finished face has nothing put on it. If there is a tolerance, mention it at booking.

We do not pack or build cases. The driver will tell you at the dock if the wrapping will not survive the journey, and an item that needs a case is flagged at booking. Our part ends with the signature at the agreed point.

What we send and what fits

Instruments, assemblies and single items go in a short wheelbase, and longer pieces in a long or extra-long wheelbase. On these estates the curtain-side Luton loads by forklift from the side.

Where the delivery address has nothing to lift with, ask for the box Luton with its tail lift. Anything too long for a doorway goes on the flat bed. The fleet page has dimensions for every class, and UK pallet sizes explained covers the standard footprints.

Where Enfield work goes

On into the rest of London, or back out to Essex on the M25. Harlow and Stansted are north by the M25 and the M11.

Other services we run in Enfield

Same-day courier where the goods take ordinary handling and the clock is the only issue. Two-man delivery for a piece going to an address with nothing to lift it. Multi-drop for a list of London drops from one collection. Next-day courier where the item is delicate and tomorrow morning is soon enough.

Enfield questions

Same-day gives you a dedicated vehicle and no depot. On a fragile job the handling is agreed first, and because these estates load easily, most of the agreement is about the delivery address: the doorway, the carry and who signs.

No. Packing and case-making are separate trades. We carry what comes off the dock, and if the wrapping will not survive the journey, the driver will tell you there before anything is loaded.

Enfield is around thirty-three miles from our base, and junction 25 of the M25 decides the timing, as it slows in both peaks. Give us an hour's notice where you can, with the estate and the deadline, and we will give you a realistic window.

We come in by the A12 and the North Circular instead. It is longer and slow at Bounds Green, and you get a call with the revised time.

No. The Congestion Charge covers central London only, and Enfield is well outside it. ULEZ covers every borough, Enfield included, and any charge that applies to the vehicle is in the price.

Yes. FORS is an audited standard covering safety, driver training, fuel efficiency and emissions, and many London construction and infrastructure sites ask for it at the gate. It is separate from ULEZ, which is a daily charge on vehicles that do not meet the emissions standard.

Yes, so tell us at booking. A piece that leaves Brimsdown by forklift and arrives at an address with nothing to lift it needs a tail lift or two people, and either is booked with the vehicle.

Yes. The Congestion Charge applies at the City end and is in the price. Give us the deadline at the City address and we plan the run back from it.
