Next-day courier services in Benfleet

Five miles from our Basildon base on a stretch of the A13 we drive daily. Order by 4pm and the morning slot is agreed before the vehicle is allocated that evening.

Next-day courier service in Benfleet

Tasito runs next-day courier work throughout Benfleet. Manor Trading Estate carries the bulk of it, and the rest comes from the shops, offices and smaller trade units near the station and along London Road, with South Benfleet running down to the creek. The town lies five miles from us just off the A13, set between Basildon and Southend-on-Sea, and Canvey Island is over the water from it.

The next-day arrangement settles the question of what is moving the evening before rather than at the kerb. Manor is mixed enough that a consignment could be almost anything, so the load and the method of loading go on the order, the class is held against them overnight, and the van arrives inside the slot. Orders close at 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Manor Trading Estate, and what we need with the order

Manor is large, close to fully let, and its tenants span a wide spread of trades rather than one industry. For a planned collection that cuts two ways.

The addresses give no trouble. Estate roads, yards, forklifts doing the lifting, and space enough for a Luton to come in and get out again.

The load is the open question. Units doing such different things means a unit number alone will not tell us which class to hold. Say what is moving and how it will leave the building, and the right vehicle goes on the overnight list instead of being swapped around in the morning.

What a planned slot buys on a short leg

Benfleet sits on the A13 between our base and the Canvey and Southend work, so this is a road we are on most days whatever else is booked.

On a next-day job that works for you, because your pickup joins a route still being drawn rather than one already running. Where the hour can move by an hour or two, say so with the order and we will place it where the route runs cleanest. Where it cannot move, that is equally fine, and you will know the evening before whether we are holding the time.

Sadlers Farm is what slows the A13 at peak, not anything inside Benfleet. A planned booking lets you take a slot that sits around it, which is the choice an urgent job never gets.

What the vehicle is matched to

Manor takes the whole range. The long wheelbase gives 3.3m for three standard pallets or four Euro, the extra-long 4.2m for four standard or five Euro, and the Luton six of either at 1,000kg. Forklift at your end makes the curtain-side Luton the quicker choice; nothing at your end makes it the box, which carries a tail lift.

Around London Road and at the smaller addresses, 450kg and 2.1m in a short wheelbase, or 800kg in a medium with two standard pallets or three Euro, is usually both the right class and the cheaper one.

Each class and its load dimensions are listed on the fleet page, and UK pallet sizes explained covers Euro against standard footprints if you are unsure which yours are. FORS accreditation runs across the fleet, renewed for 2026.

The smaller addresses, and the creek

The streets of South Benfleet and the lanes down to the creek are residential and tighter than they appear. Anything down there wants a full address and a named contact instead of a postcode, and on a booked job those get settled a day ahead, so the driver arrives at a door rather than at the mouth of a street with nowhere to turn.

Canvey Island is its own job. The island is reached over the creek crossing and brings constraints of its own, so where the delivery is on Canvey rather than here, give us the real address and we will treat it accordingly.

Where Benfleet work goes

Over the crossing to Canvey Island. East to Rayleigh and Southend-on-Sea. West on the A13 to Basildon and Grays, and into London past them.

The London leg is where a morning departure counts, since the van is in and clear before the A13 thickens. With the route planned in advance, a second Benfleet pickup or a drop along the corridor will usually ride on the same vehicle.

Other services we run in Benfleet

Multi-drop, which this town fits better than anywhere else on our network, since Basildon, Benfleet, Canvey Island and Southend-on-Sea all fall on one sequence. Same-day courier when the deadline is today. Two-man delivery for anything that has to be carried at the far end. Planning, routing and sorting on a set schedule at a fixed rate where the movement repeats.

Booking, slots and tracking are explained on the main next-day courier service page.

Benfleet questions

4pm, Monday to Friday. Five miles leaves plenty of room, and because allocation happens that evening you know both the class and the window before the day begins.

A wide spread of trades rather than one sector, in an estate that is close to fully let. Estate roads, yards, forklift loading as the norm and space for a Luton. Given how varied the tenants are, describe the consignment and how it loads rather than only giving a unit.

Yes. A movement that repeats becomes planning, routing and sorting on a set schedule at a fixed rate, which costs less than ordering the job every week and takes the booking off your desk.

It does. The island lies over the creek crossing with access constraints of its own, so give us the actual address instead of the nearest large town. Our Canvey Island page sets out what we need.

A full address and a mobile for whoever hands over. Those streets are residential and narrow, and a postcode by itself can leave a driver on the wrong side of one with no room to turn round.

Usually a short wheelbase at 450kg or a medium at 800kg. There is little sense in holding six pallets of capacity for a load the smallest class will take.

It is the slow spot on the A13 through both peaks. On a booked job we place the slot clear of it, which is the advantage a planned collection holds over one squeezed into a day in progress.

No. This is Essex, outside ULEZ and outside the Congestion Charge. Charges only enter where the delivery address is in London, and you get those before departure.
