Same-day courier service in Stansted
Tasito provides dedicated same-day courier services to Stansted, covering the cargo centre, the airport business units and the surrounding employment sites. From air freight consignments and documents to equipment and time-critical parts, we collect directly from your premises and deliver in a vehicle matched to the load.
Almost everything about a Stansted job comes down to the cut-off at the handling agent's desk, which sits well before the flight and is what the whole run is planned backwards from.
The flight is the deadline
Air freight does not work to a delivery time. It works to a cut-off at the handling agent's desk, and that cut-off sits well before the flight departs, often by hours.
So the first thing we ask for on a Stansted job is not a delivery time. It is the cut-off, the handling agent and the booking reference. We then plan the run backwards from it with margin, because a consignment that arrives after the cut-off does not go on a later flight that evening, it goes tomorrow or the day after depending on the schedule.
If you give us a four o'clock delivery time when the actual cut-off is two, we will meet your instruction and miss your flight. Tell us the real number.

Cargo centre procedures
The cargo centre runs security, screening, booked slots and gate procedures. Screening in particular adds time at the gate, and it is not something that can be rushed.
What we need from you: the handling agent, the gate, the booking reference, the cut-off, and anything the driver needs personally. Airside access, where it applies at all, is tightly controlled and arranged in advance rather than on arrival.
We deliver to the handling agents at the cargo centre, landside. We do not hold airside clearance, so where a consignment has to go airside, the handling agent takes it on from the gate.
Our fleet is FORS accredited and renewed for 2026, which is an audited standard covering safety, driver training and emissions management.

The rest of Stansted
Away from the cargo centre there is the business and industrial activity around the airport, including the Priory Wood and Start Hill side, plus the logistics and distribution operations that sit along the A120 and M11 corridor because of the airport's presence.
Those are ordinary commercial collections without the air freight paperwork, and they are simpler and quicker to arrange.

The roads
M11 junction 8 is the pinch point at the airport end. Galleys Corner on the A120 is the one coming from the east, and M25 junction 27 is the one on the alternative route, which is why we prefer the A120 when the timing is tight.

Charges
None. Stansted is Essex, outside the ULEZ and the Congestion Charge. Airport access and cargo procedures replace charges on this page.

What we send
Air freight consignments tend to be urgent rather than enormous, so often a short wheelbase at 450kg or a medium at 800kg is the right and cheapest vehicle. Where there is more to it, three standard or four Euro pallets in a long wheelbase at 3.3m, four standard or five Euro in an extra-long, six in a Luton at 1,000kg.
Weight and dimensions matter more than usual here because air freight is priced and accepted on them, so give us accurate figures rather than estimates.
The fleet page has every class.

Stansted questions
The cut-off time at the handling agent, the agent's name, the gate, the booking reference and the consignment's accurate weight and dimensions. The cut-off is the number that matters, not the flight time and not a delivery time.
Because they are different and the gap between them is hours. If you tell us four o'clock when the real cut-off is two, we will hit your instruction and miss your flight. The consignment then goes tomorrow rather than later the same day.
Cargo centre, yes: we deliver to the handling agents there. Airside, no. We do not hold airside clearance, so the agent takes it on from there.
Enough that it has to be built into the plan rather than hoped around, and it varies. We allow for it when we work backwards from your cut-off, and we would rather quote a window that includes it than an arrival time that assumes a clear run through the gate.
Either the A120 and M11, or the A127 to M25 junction 27 and the M11. The A120 route avoids the M25 altogether and we prefer it when the timing is tight, even though it is slightly further. From Braintree it is the clear choice.
Yes, easily. Harlow is a short run south on the M11 and the two pair well, particularly if the consignment is going to or from the science park and pharmaceutical sites.
Usually the smallest that fits it, which is a short wheelbase at 450kg. Air freight is priced on weight and dimensions so there is no advantage in a larger vehicle, and a smaller van is cheaper and quicker through the gate.
Yes, including the Priory Wood and Start Hill side and the logistics operations along the A120 and M11. Those are ordinary commercial collections without the freight paperwork, so they are simpler to arrange.
