Fragile Time Critical Courier
Dedicated temperature-controlled transport for consignments requiring controlled conditions throughout the journey.
A dedicated temperature-controlled vehicle, for consignments where the condition on arrival matters as much as the arrival itself. The load travels on its own, so the temperature is held for your job rather than averaged across somebody else's.
The vehicle
Our temperature-controlled van carries up to six pallets and a payload of 1000kg, the same capacity as a Luton, in a body that holds its temperature for the length of the run. Because the job is dedicated, the doors are opened at your collection and your delivery and nowhere in between.
What it suits
Chilled goods, food and ingredients moving between sites, and anything with a handling specification that a general courier cannot meet. If your goods have a temperature range they have to stay inside, tell us the range and we will confirm before we quote whether we can hold it for that journey.
Why dedicated matters more here than anywhere else
On a shared run the doors open at every stop on the route, and each opening costs the load a little temperature. By the time your pallet comes off, it has been through a dozen of them. On a dedicated job the doors open twice, at your collection and at your delivery, so the condition the goods arrive in is closer to the condition they left in.
That is also why there is no depot in the middle. Nothing is unloaded into a chilled store overnight and reloaded in the morning, which is the point in a network journey where most temperature problems start.
Tell us the range before we quote
Temperature controlled covers a wide span, and not every job inside that span is the same job. Chilled goods, ambient-plus loads and anything with a documented range all need checking against the vehicle before anyone promises anything. Give us the range the goods have to stay inside and the length of the journey, and we will confirm whether we can hold it rather than find out on the road.
If paperwork has to travel with the consignment or be completed at handover, send that through at the same time. It is quicker to build it into the job than to sort it out while the driver is waiting at a goods-in desk.
What we need from you
The temperature the load has to be kept at, what is moving and how much of it, the collection and delivery postcodes, and any paperwork that has to travel with the consignment or be completed on handover.
