About this van
The temperature-controlled van is a refrigerated box van. An insulated body with a fridge unit mounted above the cab, a 4.2m by 2.0m floor with 2.1m of height, six standard pallets and a payload of up to 1,000kg.
Chilled or frozen, held the whole way
The unit runs from collection to delivery rather than simply starting cold and hoping. The body is insulated on all sides, so the temperature you load at is the temperature that arrives, on a single drop or a round with eight stops on it. Tell us the range your goods need when you book and we set the vehicle to it.
The side door is the point
On a multi-drop chilled route the biggest risk to the load is the unloading. Open full rear doors at every stop and the cold falls out of the box each time, and what is left has to be pulled back down between drops. A side access door means you take out the stop you are at without opening the whole body, so the rest of the load holds its temperature.
Full-size box
Six standard pallets, the same capacity as our Luton vans, so a chilled run does not cost you load space. Up to 1,000kg across them.
How we run it
Dedicated transport, collection to delivery, with no depot and nothing transferred into another vehicle. Live tracking on every booking, same-day bookings until 4pm, and FORS approved like the rest of our fleet.
