About this van

The MWB is the van most business jobs end up on. A 2.7m by 1.2m load floor, 1.5m of height inside and a payload of up to 800kg, which takes two to three standard pallets.

The jump from an SWB

The floor gains 600mm of length, but the payload is the bigger change. The SWB stops at 450kg. The MWB takes 800kg, close to double, which matters more than people expect on dense loads. Tiles, tooling, printed stock, drinks and building supplies hit a weight limit long before they fill a floor.

Side and rear loading

The MWB has a sliding side door as well as rear doors. On a busy street that is the difference between loading from the kerb and blocking a lane while someone works out of the back. It also helps at a drop where the vehicle cannot reverse on, or where only part of the load is coming off.

How we run it

Dedicated, every time. One load, one vehicle, collection to delivery with no depot and no transfer. Live tracking on every booking, same-day bookings until 4pm, and FORS approved like the rest of the fleet. If the load turns out to be more than three pallets, the LWB and XLWB sit above it.

Why choose it

Two or three pallets

More floor than the SWB, still compact enough for town work.

Side and rear loading

A sliding side door as well as rear doors, which helps on a busy street.

Up to 800kg

Nearly twice the payload of the SWB.

What it suits

  • Two to three pallets
  • Trade and building supplies
  • Office and IT equipment
  • Retail stock top-ups

MWB questions

Two comfortably, three at a push depending on how they are built and wrapped. The floor is 2.7m by 1.2m with 1.5m of height. Send us the pallet count and rough heights and we will confirm before you book.

Up to 800kg, almost double the SWB. On dense loads that limit arrives before the floor is full, so a rough total weight is more useful to us than the number of boxes when you are getting a quote.

Length and weight. The SWB gives you 2.1m of floor and 450kg. The MWB gives you 2.7m and 800kg, plus a sliding side door. If you are between the two, the deciding factor is usually weight rather than size.

Yes, a sliding side door alongside the rear doors. It is useful on narrow streets where working out of the back means blocking traffic, and at drops where only part of the load is coming off.

Up to 2.7m on the floor. Longer than that and you want the LWB at 3.3m or the XLWB at 4.2m. Tell us the longest dimension when you call rather than the overall size and we will match the van to it.

Yes, with same-day bookings running until 4pm. The earlier you call the more vehicles we have to choose from, which usually means a tighter arrival window as well as a better price.
