Same-day courier service in Basildon
Tasito provides dedicated same-day courier services throughout Basildon and nearby commercial areas, including Festival Leisure Park, Pipps Hill, Laindon, Pitsea and Burnt Mills Industrial Estate. We collect directly from your business and handle a wide range of urgent consignments, from documents and replacement parts to pallets, equipment and time-sensitive goods. Each delivery is assigned a vehicle suited to the load, with direct onward transport into London, across the South East and to destinations throughout the UK.
Most of our Basildon work is trade and light industrial: palletised stock off the estates, construction fixings, machine parts, and goods going down the A127 into London or up the A130 towards Chelmsford. Bookings run until 4pm.
Where we collect in Basildon
Burnt Mills Industrial Estate off Harvey Road is the largest of them and a good share of our regular pickups come off it. Cranes Industrial Estate, Pipps Hill, Christopher Martin Road and Festival Business Park cover most of the rest.
What these have in common is yards and trade counters rather than loading docks. Forklift loading is normal, and where there is no forklift the box Luton's tail lift does the job instead.
Because we are local, we know which units have awkward access and which service roads are tighter than they look. If you are on one of the estates and you have had a courier fail to find you before, that is usually the reason.

What being local changes
Three things.
A short-notice collection is realistic here in a way it is not at 35 miles. Across Essex and the South East we can often collect inside the hour. In Basildon it is normally much less than that, subject to what is already running.
Second, the 4pm booking cut-off bites later. A 3:45pm call for a Basildon collection is a different proposition from the same call for Colchester or Croydon, because the collection leg costs us almost nothing in time.
Third, pricing. Same-day is priced on distance, vehicle and urgency, so a Basildon collection with a Basildon drop is about as cheap as same-day gets. Where the cost appears is the delivery leg, and if that leg goes into London the charges come with it.

What we send
Eight vehicle classes. One pallet in a short wheelbase at 450kg with a 2.1m load space. Two standard or three Euro pallets in a medium at 800kg. Three standard or four Euro in a long wheelbase at 3.3m. Four standard or five Euro in an extra-long at 4.2m. Six of either in a Luton, 4.2m by 2.0m by 2.1m, 1,000kg. A flat bed at 2.7m and 800kg for anything that will not go through a door, and a temperature-controlled vehicle holding chilled or frozen.
The box Luton has a tail lift. The curtain-side version opens along the side for forklift loading, which is what most of the Burnt Mills and Cranes work wants.
Our fleet is FORS accredited and renewed for 2026, which is what gets a van through the gate on construction and infrastructure sites, particularly in London.
The fleet page has every class, and UK pallet sizes explained covers standard against Euro.

Basildon questions
We are based in Basildon, so there is no travel leg to speak of. Across Essex we quote collection inside the hour and in Basildon it is normally well under that, depending on what is already out. Call and we will tell you where the nearest suitable van is.
In Basildon, often yes, which is not something we would say about Colchester or Croydon. It still depends on the vehicle. A short wheelbase is usually available quickly, while a Luton, flat bed, refrigerated vehicle or two-person crew needs more notice.
For the collection leg, yes. Same-day is priced on distance, the vehicle and how fast it has to move, so a Basildon collection costs less than a Colchester one. The delivery leg is where the money sits, and if it goes into the Congestion Charge zone that is £18 a day on top.
Yes, and it bites later here in practice. A 3:45pm call for a Basildon collection is realistic in a way the same call for a long run is not, because we are not spending the first hour getting to you.
The box Luton, which has a tail lift to raise the pallet between the ground and the load floor. If you do have a forklift, the curtain-side Luton is faster because it opens along the side. Both take six pallets at 1,000kg.
Yes, all on the same run as Basildon for us. Give us the postcode and the unit and we will tell you the collection window.
Yes, and that is a sensible multi-drop rather than three jobs. Wickford is five miles and Rayleigh six, so the three sit on one short route and you pay the mileage once.
Yes, and a fair share of the Basildon trade work is exactly that. For anything going to a London site, the FORS accreditation is what gets the van through the gate, and the flat bed handles lengths that will not go in a van.
Send us the postcodes and what is moving. You get a price in seconds and a driver within the hour.
