About this van

The LWB is a long-wheelbase high-roof van. A 3.3m by 1.2m load floor, 1.7m of height inside and a payload of up to 1,000kg, which covers three standard pallets.

Height is the point

The 1.7m roof is what separates this van from the MWB. Most adults can stand near enough upright inside it, and more usefully, so can your load. Cabinets, display units, stacked crates, racking sections and tall wrapped pallets travel standing rather than laid on their side and strapped, which is where damage tends to start.

A full tonne

The LWB carries up to 1,000kg, the same payload as our Lutons. It means a heavy three-pallet run does not need a Luton booking, and a job that was priced as a Luton on weight alone can often come down a size.

How we run it

One load, one vehicle, dedicated from collection to drop. No depot, no sorting, no transfer, and live tracking the whole way. Same-day bookings until 4pm, and FORS approved like every van we run. If the load runs past 3.3m, the XLWB takes it to 4.2m on the same payload.

Why choose it

Tall load space

1.7m of height, so taller items travel upright.

A full tonne

Up to 1,000kg of payload for dense or heavy loads.

Longer floor

3.3m of length for longer items and three pallets in a line.

What it suits

  • Three pallets
  • Longer items up to 3.3m
  • Heavier trade loads
  • Exhibition and event kit

LWB questions

1.7m from floor to roof. That is enough for most tall items to travel upright rather than laid down, which matters for cabinets, display units and anything that does not like being on its side.

Three standard UK pallets in a line on a 3.3m floor, with up to 1,000kg across them. If your pallets are taller than 1.7m once wrapped, tell us when you book, because height is the limit here rather than weight.

Length. The LWB gives you 3.3m of floor and three pallets. The XLWB gives you 4.2m and four, with the same 1,000kg payload. If your longest item is over 3.3m, you need the XLWB.

Yes, up to 1,000kg, the same as our Luton vans. A heavy three-pallet job does not need a Luton booking, so if you have been quoted a Luton on weight alone it is worth asking us about the LWB.

It is one of the better vans for it. Stands, display units, crates and signage usually need height more than floor, and 1.7m covers most of it without laying anything flat.

Yes, up to our 4pm cut-off. On a long run the driver's remaining hours affect what is achievable as much as the distance does, so call early if the delivery has a fixed deadline at the far end.
