Same-day courier across Hammersmith and the Broadway offices. Outside the Congestion Charge, with both route options priced before we set off.

Same-day courier service in Hammersmith

Tasito provides dedicated same-day courier services across Hammersmith, from the Broadway and Lyric Square offices to the studios and media businesses along the river and the units off Fulham Palace Road. From urgent documents and production kit to equipment, display stock and time-critical parts, we collect directly from your premises and deliver in a vehicle matched to the load. Charing Cross Hospital and the surrounding medical addresses are on the same run, and those need a department name rather than a postcode.

Hammersmith sits outside the Congestion Charge zone. The quickest route across London runs straight through it, which is why the £18 can appear on a quote for an address that does not attract it. We price both the direct route and the way round, and let you pick, rather than choosing one and adding the difference afterwards.

Outside the zone, through the zone

Hammersmith is not in the Congestion Charge zone. The charge rose to £18 a day on 2 January 2026 and it covers central London, which Hammersmith sits west of.

The problem is the route. Driving across London on the Embankment goes straight through the zone, so a job to an address that is not charged picks up the charge anyway. Going round on the A40 and the North Circular avoids it and takes longer.

So there are two honest answers to a Hammersmith job and we give you both. Pay the £18 and take the quicker road, or save it and accept a slower window. On a tight deadline the charge is usually the cheaper of the two. On a routine delivery it rarely is.

ULEZ applies across every London borough, £12.50 a day for a non-compliant van. We send ULEZ-compliant vans into London, and if the right van for a job ever is not, we tell you about the £12.50 before we set off. No river crossing, so no tunnel toll.

What the work usually is

Hammersmith is offices, media and healthcare rather than industry.

The office blocks around the Broadway run goods-in with booked slots and a named recipient. Media and production businesses generate the awkward loads: kit, cases, equipment, often on a shoot deadline.

Charing Cross Hospital is the other side of it. Hospital deliveries run their own procedures, their own loading areas and their own departments, and a postcode is not enough. We need the department, the contact and whatever reference the goods-in desk works to.

Getting in and stopping

The Hammersmith flyover and the gyratory are the pinch points, and the Broadway has restricted loading along most of it. There is very little scope for a van to wait, which means a contact who can meet the driver matters more here than the vehicle does.

What we send

Mostly the smaller end. A short wheelbase at 450kg and a 2.1m load space for documents and small consignments, which is cheaper and easier to stop. A medium at 2.7m taking two standard or three Euro pallets. For media kit and cases, the flat bed at 2.7m and 800kg or a two-person crew is usually a better answer than more van.

Our fleet is FORS accredited and renewed for 2026.

Where Hammersmith work goes

Hammersmith does not pair neatly with anything else on our network. It is a run of its own across the city, which is part of why the route decision matters so much.

Other services we run in Hammersmith

Two-man delivery for equipment going into an office or up to a floor. Next-day courier, which on a 35-mile cross-London run is frequently the better value and avoids the charge question altogether. Multi-drop if there are several west London drops, which spreads the £18 if you are paying it.

Hammersmith questions

Because the quickest route across London goes through the zone even though your address does not sit in it. We give you both options: £18 and the Embankment, or no charge and the slower A40. On a tight deadline the charge is usually cheaper than the delay. On a routine job it is not.

It depends on the deadline. Tell us the time it has to be there and we will tell you which road makes it and what each costs. We would rather have that conversation at booking than put a surprise on the invoice.

Yes, and hospital deliveries need more than a postcode. The department, the contact, and whatever reference the goods-in desk works to. Hospitals run their own loading areas and procedures and a driver without those details waits.

Common here. We send the smallest van that fits the consignment and we need somebody able to come down and meet the driver. Loading is restricted along most of the Broadway so the van cannot sit and wait for a call to be answered.

Yes, and for cases and awkward equipment the flat bed at 2.7m and 800kg is often better than a larger panel van. If it has to be carried into a building, book a two-person crew with it.

About 35 miles and the mileage is the least of it. The Embankment and the A4 both go in the peaks and the flyover and gyratory are the pinch points. We quote a window after we know what time of day it is.

Frequently, yes. It is a long cross-London run, and a booked morning slot avoids both the peak and the charge decision. We will recommend it where it fits rather than selling you the premium version.

4pm is the cut-off, Monday to Friday. Realistically earlier, because a late collection puts the van on the Embankment in the evening peak, which is the slowest and dearest way to cross London.
