Two-man delivery in Enfield

Tasito runs two-man delivery across Enfield, taking in Innova Park, Great Cambridge Industrial Estate, Brimsdown and the Lee Valley estates. Enfield's own planning policy safeguards these as strategic industrial land, and they are proper industrial sites with yards and forklift loading, so what leaves here is palletised freight rather than a document run. A crew of two travels with the vehicle, so whatever comes off a forklift at this end is carried in and positioned at the other.

That contrast is the whole case for a crew on this route. An Enfield yard loads a pallet in a minute. A site with no forklift, no dock and a floor to reach needs two people to take it apart and carry it in, and the receiving address is what we plan around. Bookings run until 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Where we collect in Enfield

The big one is Brimsdown Industrial Estate, over on the eastern side of the borough in the Lee Valley. Off the A10 runs Great Cambridge Industrial Estate, and the newer business park site is Innova Park. Most of the remainder falls under the Lee Valley strategic industrial locations.

What is useful about every one of them is the way they load: in off an estate road, into a yard, forklift at the dock. Nothing waiting at a kerb, no height limit on a basement ramp, no slot booked through a tower reception. A crewed collection here takes almost no time, which is why the hour gets set against the far end.

The yard at one end, nothing at the other

The common pattern out of Enfield is a palletised load going to a site that cannot receive one. No forklift, no dock, sometimes no ground floor. That is where the second person stops being an option and becomes the only way the goods get inside.

Describe the delivery address, then, rather than only the collection. Floor, lift and its internal depth, the tightest doorway between the vehicle and the final position, the longest item in the load, and anything the gate wants by way of an induction. With those in hand we tell you at booking what the job needs. FORS accreditation runs across our fleet and was renewed for 2026, and it is what gets a vehicle past the gate at the bigger Lee Valley operations and on any construction or infrastructure site in Greater London.

What the crew does, and what it does not

Taken off the pallet where the carry requires it, through the door, up to the floor and positioned. Packaging goes back on the vehicle where that was agreed at booking.

Assembly, installation and commissioning sit outside it. Machine parts and equipment leaving a Brimsdown unit arrive as they left and stay that way until your engineer is on site, so send us their time if the two have to meet. Removing the old plant or furniture afterwards is a separate job with disposal attached to it.

Where there is no lift at the receiving end, the number of flights and the tightest turn decide what physically goes up, and we would rather tell you that before the pallet is broken down than after.

Charges, and the roads

Like every London borough, Enfield falls inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, where £12.50 a day is what a vehicle that does not comply pays. Compliant vehicles are what we send into London, and on the rare job where the right vehicle is not one, you hear before we leave.

No Congestion Charge lands at Enfield. The figure rose to £18 a day on 2 January 2026, and plenty of people take it to cover the whole of London. It does not. The central zone is what it covers, and Enfield sits a long way outside that. There is no river to cross either, so no tunnel toll. As for the roads, junction 25 of the M25 fills in both peaks and is the main constraint on an Enfield job, with the A10 southbound into the borough next and Bounds Green on the North Circular the one that catches us if we come the other way. Thirty-three miles is a real distance, so on a crewed job we would sooner hold the booking an hour ahead than quote a window we do not believe.

What we send and what fits

Loading by forklift is what makes the pallet count the only number that usually matters at this end. A Luton holds six pallets of either footprint, 4.2m by 2.0m by 2.1m, 1,000kg. An extra-long wheelbase at 4.2m holds four standard or five Euro. A long wheelbase at 3.3m holds three standard or four Euro. A medium at 2.7m holds two standard or three Euro at 800kg, and a short wheelbase one pallet in 2.1m of length at 450kg. For whatever a doorway will not take, the flat bed gives 2.7m at 800kg.

At the collection the curtain-side Luton is usually the right call, since it opens along its flank and a forklift fills it in a fraction of the time the back doors take. Ask instead for the box version and its tail lift where the receiving end has no equipment, which on this route is frequently the case.

UK pallet sizes explained works through the Euro footprint, and the fleet page shows why six pallets and 1,000kg are two limits rather than one.

Where Enfield work goes

Into the rest of London, or back out to Essex.

Two people stay with the load across the whole of that, so the receiving site's access hours and any induction requirement are what set the day rather than the mileage.

Other services we run in Enfield

Same-day courier where a forklift at the far end does the work a crew would otherwise do. Next-day courier where tomorrow morning covers it. Multi-drop putting a run of London drops behind one Enfield collection. Planning, routing and sorting where the same movement repeats weekly.

The full two-man delivery service covers how the crew is booked with the vehicle, which is the detail to settle before a Brimsdown pallet load goes to a site with nothing to unload it with.

Enfield questions

An hour ahead at the very least, and the previous day is better. The crew is allocated with the vehicle rather than found at the far end, and at thirty-three miles a guessed window is no use to either of us.

The delivery address decides it rather than the collection. Tell us the item, the floor it is going to and how it gets in, and we will tell you which you need at booking.

Curtain-side loads fastest off a Brimsdown forklift. The box version has the tail lift, and on this route the delivery end is usually the one without equipment, so that is frequently the one we send.

No. Carried in and positioned where you want it. Installation and commissioning are a separate trade, so send us your engineer's time if they have to follow the crew in.

The staircase decides. Give us the number of flights, the tightest turn and the longest item, and we will say what goes up before the load is broken down.

No. The central zone stops short of Enfield. That charge did rise to £18 a day on 2 January 2026, though central London is all it reaches. ULEZ is live across every borough, Enfield included.

Yes, fleet-wide and renewed for 2026. The standard is audited and takes in safety, driver training, fuel efficiency and emissions management, and it is what satisfies the access requirements on major London construction and infrastructure projects. ULEZ is a different thing entirely, a charge levied per vehicle on emissions.

We come in on the A12 and the North Circular instead. Longer, and slow along Bounds Green, so it is the worse of the two roads, but it is there. You get a call with a revised time rather than a vehicle sitting quietly in a queue.
