About this van
The flat bed is an open aluminium dropside. The sides drop down on all three edges, so the bed loads from any angle. It carries up to 800kg and two to three standard pallets, and it runs on a standard driving licence.
Loads from any side
Drop the sides and the bed is open. A forklift can come in from either flank or the rear, a crane can lower a load straight down onto it, and two people can lift something on from the kerb without lining it up with a door. An enclosed van only ever loads from the back.
What an enclosed van cannot take
Anything too long, too wide, too tall or too awkwardly shaped to go through a pair of rear doors. Timber and steel lengths, scaffold, plant parts, pipework, tanks, machinery on a skid and lifting gear. If a load has to be craned on or slung off, it has to go on a flat bed.
Weather and securing
The bed is open, so loads are strapped down and sheeted where the goods need it. For anything that must stay dry and enclosed the whole way, one of our panel vans or the Luton box is the right booking instead.
How we run it
Dedicated transport from collection to drop, with live tracking throughout. Same-day bookings until 4pm, and FORS approved like every vehicle we run.
